Privacy Policy
CRO Audit Pro is a Shopify app by Webnotics. It scans your own storefront and tells you what to fix to convert more visitors. This page explains what data we handle and why.
What we collect
- Store details from Shopify: your store domain, the access token Shopify gives the app, and your product, collection and page URLs (the app requests the read_products permission only).
- Storefront content: for each page you choose to scan, a desktop and a mobile screenshot, the page text and structure (headings, buttons, links, images, meta tags), and performance data for that page.
- Audit results: the findings, scores and recommendations we generate, and your plan and credit usage.
- Your scanner signature, if you add one: the Signature-Input and Signature values from your Shopify admin and their expiry date.
What we do not collect
We do not collect or store your customers' personal data. The scanner browses your public storefront as an anonymous visitor. It does not log in, place orders, add to cart, or open checkout, and it does not read your orders or customer records.
How we use it
- To find your pages, scan them, and produce your audit report.
- To run scheduled re-scans if you turn them on.
- To manage your plan, credits and billing through Shopify.
- To keep the service secure and to give you support.
Who processes it
We use a few service providers to run the app. They only receive what is needed for their part.
- Anthropic (Claude): screenshots and page text are sent to Claude to produce the findings. We use the commercial API, and Anthropic does not train its models on API data by default.
- Google PageSpeed Insights: the URL of a scanned page is sent to get performance data.
- DigitalOcean: hosts the app, the database, and the storage that holds your screenshots.
- Shopify: authentication and subscription billing.
Your scanner signature
The signature is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM), never shown again after you save it, and used only to scan the store that installed the app. We delete it automatically when it expires, when you remove it, or when you uninstall the app.
How long we keep data
We keep your audits and screenshots while the app is installed so you can open past reports. After you uninstall, Shopify tells us to erase your store's data, and we delete everything we hold about your store, including screenshots, findings, credits history and sessions, within 30 days of that request. You can also ask us to delete it sooner (see the Data Deletion page).
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the data we hold about your store at any time by writing to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Sensitive values are encrypted at rest, access is limited to the people who run the service, and screenshots are stored in private storage that is only reachable through our app.
Changes and contact
